Throughout February, Boeing employees across the country are celebrating Black History Month. BSC’s Marcus Cox talks about his inspiration:

I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for my mother. She broke through every obstacle she encountered. Her motto was… there is no excuse for not “trying.” This mentality motivated me to return to school; I will graduate from The Citadel this May with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

While my mother encouraged my education, inventor Granville Tailer Woods inspired me to choose electrical engineering as a career.
I hope my legacy to those who follow will be that I was someone who never gave up on his dreams. It’s never too late to accomplish whatever it is you desire.
