Commuters should be mindful of slight changes in traffic flow along International Boulevard and South Aviation Avenue.
Construction projects are currently underway, outlined below. When complete, commuters can expect to see extended turn lanes with increased traffic capacity and new traffic signals that will help alleviate congestion along International Boulevard.
South Aviation Avenue (North of International Boulevard):
- Single right lane (marked in red below) will be closed from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
- Currently underway and will last two to three weeks
- This change will allow trucks to enter and exit the property for site-clearing activities
International Boulevard:
- Left turn lanes and straightaways (Areas 1 and 2 in map below) will be closed 7 p.m.-4 a.m.
- Expected dates are May 12-29
- This change supports underground utility work and paving.
- Commuters will still be able to turn left and continue straight. Please follow signage or directions from onsite flaggers.
Additionally, Boeing construction crews will demolish two buildings along International Boulevard (5300 International Boulevard) beginning May 7 to facilitate construction of three new flight line stalls. This will not impact local roads or commuting patterns.
