UPDATE: Due to the current track of Tropical Storm Isaias, Boeing is now suspending operations at Boeing South Carolina – including the Airport Campus, North Campus, and leased buildings – beginning Monday, Aug. 3 at 1 p.m. The updated timing of the temporary site shutdown is based on the latest weather projections from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which show an earlier onset of the storm.
As of now, we are planning to resume operations starting with first shift on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 7:30 a.m. and end at the normal time. Second-shift teammates will report according to the regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday. This will allow teammates the ability to drive during daylight hours and navigate the safest possible route. We will continue to monitor conditions and advise teammates if any additional changes become necessary.
We will continue to communicate with all teammates through our communication channels including social media, Boeing New Now South Carolina channel, internal messaging and direct outreach from managers. Teammates are also encouraged to check for regular updates on the Boeing Employee Information Hotline or website.
The facility will now close at 1 p.m. today.
Please be safe and check back for updates.
