Brad Zaback

Vice President and General Manager, 787 Program, Boeing Commercial Airplanes

Brad Zaback is vice president and general manager of the Boeing 787 program. In this role, he leads the team that designs, builds and delivers the 787 Dreamliner family of airplanes. He also oversees the execution of program priorities and the shaping of the long-term strategy for the 787 production system.

Prior to his current role, Zaback was vice president and deputy general manager of the 777 program, focused on production integration. Previously, he was vice president and general manager of the 767 program, with responsibility for the program’s operational, engineering and financial performance..

Zaback’s connection to the 787 program began when he worked on the Sonic Cruiser development program, the precursor to today’s 787. He has held the roles of chief engineer of 787 Airplane Integration, chief engineer of 787-9 Airplane Integration and director of 787 Operations.

Earlier in his career, Zaback held positions of progressive responsibility in Engineering supporting the 747, 767 and 777 programs. A notable assignment was leader of Production Engineering for 767 Freighter Development.

Zaback joined Boeing in 1988. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Washington.
