Governor Henry McMaster is inviting all South Carolinians to join the POWERPLANTSC initiative on Earth Day, April 22, 2021.
The goal is to have more than three million loblolly pine tree seeds planted across the Palmetto State. The effort aims to prevent flooding across the state. A loblolly pine tree can absorb 20 gallons of water per year.
Boeing South Carolina will be participating in the initiative, making seeds available to teammates on Earth Day.
