BSC suspending operations following second shift on Thursday, Sept. 29

Due to the anticipated impact of Tropical Storm Ian, Boeing is suspending operations at both Boeing South Carolina campuses following second shift tonight, Thursday, Sept. 29. To be clear, teammates should NOT come into work starting with third shift tonight. The timing of the temporary site shutdown is based on the latest weather projections from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The facility will remain open until midnight tonight to accommodate those who need to retrieve personal items.

At this time, we anticipate normal operations to resume beginning third shift on Sunday, Oct. 2. A small number of teammates will be contacted by their manager to report to work on Saturday, Oct. 1. However, teammates should follow all updates reported here, as well as on the BSC Facebook page, Boeing News Now South Carolina channel, internal messaging and direct outreach from managers. Teammates are also encouraged to check for regular updates on the Boeing Employee Information Hotline or www.boeing.com/emergency.
