A Boeing 737 in special Freedom Plane livery delivered a historic first at the RBC Heritage presented by Boeing, flying over the event in special, one-of-a-kind Freedom Plane livery honoring America’s 250th anniversary.
The plane soared over Harbour Town in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, captained by Boeing Test & Evaluation test pilot Ryan Murphy, and Marc Schwind and Victor Cotham of Executive Flight Operations.
“I’m proud to be part of the team performing the Boeing Freedom Plane flyover at the 2026 RBC Heritage presented by Boeing,” Murphy said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to wow the fans in Hilton Head and viewers at home with the impressive aircraft built by the amazing Boeing team.”
Now in its 15th year as presenting sponsor, Boeing has helped shape the PGA golf tournament both on and off the course. Boeing proudly supports the tournament due to its economic impact through tourism, and the Heritage Classic Foundation’s charitable contributions and scholarships.
The signature flyover – which in the past has been a 787 Dreamliner from Boeing South Carolina – is a fan-favorite, always taking place on the Saturday afternoon of tournament play.
