During the month of February, Boeing South Carolina is honoring Black History Month by sharing the voices of our teammates.
Jordan McCorey is a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who has been with the company for more than six years. He is a member of South Carolina’s chapter of the Boeing Black Employees Association.
McCorey says Black History Month has always made him feel empowered.
“It has granted me the chance to connect with my culture and reflect on the legacy of resilience, strength, and triumph over adversity,” he said.
McCorey attended North Carolina A&T, a historically black college/university (HBCU), where he became an engineer. He is also proud to be a part of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., with which he supported and served minority communities.
“Black History Month will forever provide a platform for discussions about identity, social justice and the potential for positive change, nurturing a greater sense of belonging with the intent to shape a more inclusive and just future,” he said.
